I know a lot of members here already use Otter products for ice fishing but I just wanted to give a about out to their pro sleds for hunting also. I bought my sled right before MN gun season last year after having ‘fun’ getting my WI bow buck out of the woods. This weekend made the third deer I’ve used it on and I already wonder why in the world I didn’t buy one a long time ago. Especially if you have deer to drag out that involves water crossings, two of the three deer I’ve hauled out with it we had to cross a creek that’s 8-10′ wide or so and it reall makes it easier (and drier). Also makes easy work of loading the deer into the truck after, instead of wrestling the deer up and in, just pick up the sled and in you go. Sure is nice not having a deer full of sticks and leaves and dirt when you go to hang it.
That being said, I noticed fleet farm has them on sale (at least the small pro sled). Almost bought a second one so I could just leave one at both parents place so I don’t risk leaving it at the other and having to drag ‘old school’ again.
(Picture was my 2018 buck, I’ve since discovered tucking the legs in works much better. But that deer was 200+/- pounds field dress and fit in the small pro sled. I also added some metal d-rings on the top lip so I can tie the load down if needed)
