Depends. .. i can fit 6 32″ rods with handles fold down on 500 series reels. But thats really pushing it.

I keep 4 28 inch rods and one smaller rod, but I also keep about a 5″x8″ tackle box,2 bait pucks, roll of electrical tape and a pair of forceps in it also with no problems

this is what I do, but some of mine are 28″ and some are longer. I don’t have any problems accomplishing this in the otter case. I fold the handles down, may get away with not having to do that but it gives me piece of mind thinking they wont get damaged as easily that way

I’ve got 2-32″, 1-30″, 2-24″ and can fit 1 more combo in it. All have 500 series Shimano reels on them. Also have a Rose Creek spoon box in the center of the it.

I typically have 6 that range from 26-32″. However, I have fit 8 before when I’m scouting a new lake with multi-species potential with a partner and we wanted to get both our rods in their. Just need to be careful and make sure everything is in the right place before you shut it.
