When does Otter start stocking inventory for the 2021 hardwater season?
I’ve been trying to locate this product since January and it’s been sold out everywhere.

Is the Sheels case very similar? Looked at it last fall so can’t remember for sure.

It looks to be very similar to the scheels case and almost half the cost of the otter case

Simple gripe. Why in the world call it the “pro tech 40” when it holds rods only up to 38 inches? chased

I like my scheels one better then I liked the otter case. And it was half the cost

    This one BC?
Scheels Outfitters Ultimate 2.0 Ice Combo Case

    How much does it weigh?

I like the Otter because of the depth (9.63″) but it is a bit heavy at 17lbs.

That’s the scheels one I have. Not sure on the weight but I’ve used mine 2 winters now and love it. I found mine on sale for $99. If your using inline reels they have to sit at a angle in the case. Small spinning reels fit better

Sold my Scheels case, love the deeper otter case. Yes it’s overbuilt and bulky, but I don’t need tackle storage inside. All depends on your rod length and tackle storage needs.

Yup the 2.0 is the one I have. I can’t remember the cost. I think I picked it up for 89 plus free shipping. And it’s been everything I’ve needed. I carry 6 rods in mine at all times. And it’s nice to have all my extra tackle in it, reel lube, and other miscellaneous stuff.
The otter case was nice as well but I prefer the scheels

It’s solid. Will hold up well I’d think to air travel, but those monkeys are a different breed!

Things are ramping up at Otter and most shipments are headed to retailer first. You might find one a little quicker at Reeds or Scheels before the website. These are extremely durable and will have no problem with air travel. Use a TSA approved lock on them. Lots of articles on this.

I had same trouble finding this case. I have struck luck on a place. Frank’s Outdoors a decent place located in MI. I always pay high shipping costs. Especially for being right across the big pond from them. Great place and online store. Just picked up this case and I’m impressed with it. Still like the old one clips on atv box.
