Otter Cabin XT PRO Bench Mod

I bought an Otter Cabin XT PRO last year because I wanted the heavier insulated shell. It came with the two swivel seats that are easily removable but there wasn’t enough seating for my little guys. I’ve been wanting to add a bench seat to it but wanted to maintain the flexibility to switch back to the chairs when I’m by myself with little work and no tools. So I bought an Otter bench, cut the 1.25” tubes down so they are just the length of the bench and designed brackets to be bolted to the 1.25” tubes under the bench as to mimic how the seats are used on the pro model. The bench can be slid on or off with little effort or flipped up to get into the sled. It turned out great, now just waiting for ice!

There is also an Otter flip up bench seat made specifically for this situation… This is actually my personal favorite seating configuration

FLIP-UP CUSHIONED BENCH SEAT

The problem with the flip-up cushion seat from Otter is that you have to bolt it in and it doesn’t use the existing mounting system that the swivel seats use. I wanted to slid the chairs off and slid the bench on with no more holes or hardware in the sled to keep it a clean installation.
