Going to be bring my otter to Winnipeg this year I have hifax for it and hitch but was thinking about making a sled for it to ride on so it doesn’t take such a beating. When I was there before it seemed like it was a lake that was really hard on gear with all the broken ice and pressure ridges we came across will be pulling with either a sled or a quad. I know my sled can take it and will probably be just fine but in was just wondering if anyone has done anything to protect them a little bit when in transport or made anything to pull them on across the ice. Thanks in advance!

Mounted longer runners will always allow the load to ride smother. Just like a longer wheel base with an extra set of axles imo.
