Otter bench vs seats

What do people prefer that have tried both? I like the bench for being able to easily add a kid or two, but I fear the low back would get old resting against after a while. But I’ve sat in the seats in the Pro and those don’t seem super comfortable either. And the price increase with going with the Pro doesn’t really seem worth it.

    Which would you go with?

i like the bench seat in my lodge. you have all that extra room on the bench to lay tackle boxes and you dont need rod holders as you can just lay them on the bench. also for the long day on the ice i can even lay down on the bench and take a nap

I prefer the seats for comfort. I prefer the benches for price. I don’t ice fish enough to justify the price. Of courses in a firm believer about making the most out of every experience.

I have the seats and leave one in the truck if I am fishing alone. Leaves lots of room for my extra junk that I should have left in the truck with the 2nd seat….

    I didn’t like either.
    Bench is heavy.
The seats with the cross member running the length of the sled restricted storage.
If I had to choose one over the other it would be the seats.
Otter’s seats that are from side to side are the best or just use a Cabela’s folding camp chair, very light and plenty comfortable. Fell asleep many times in that chair.

I had the bench in my cabin and it is comfortable but after awhile your back does hurt because there is no give at all in it. Also it is heavy and adds weight. The new seat in my hideout is awesome..and very light. If I were you I’d call otter and try to get a couple of those seats and rig em up somehow.

Imho, frabill has the better bench seats, but otter has the better buckets. Eskimo has a really good canvas folding chair, doesn’t look comfortable but it really is.

In my xt1200 pro resort, I always say I’m going to remove the third seat but usually leave it in for somewhere to set my junk. They don’t make a storage unit for the resort, so I may end up making one….

I have the older all steel bench seat and love the way it flips up out of the way, but damn it is heavy. Thinking about taking it out and buying 2 folding chairs.

I love the bench seat for storage and laying down on. That being said, she’s heavy. I think I’ll stick with it though. It’s nice having a place to set the sandwich when the drag starts screaming.

I prefer the individual seats, because if I’m only fishing by myself, i’ll remove one of the seats to save weight (Cabin size and up)
