    Heading to the lake the week of July 4th. Any reports on how the fishing has been?

    Slow to fair on the walleyes. They are still spread out. Find a few here, a few there, and have to keep changing presentations. Hopefully these next few warm days will get them schooled up a little. Pan fishing is picking up. Northerns are getting aggresive. Bass are starting to move into the shallow weeds.

    Thanks for the information. My background/experience deals more with fishing rivers so the info on lake fishing is much appreciated.

    Just returned from a week on Osakis. Had a great time fishing the lake. Found lots of nice gills – most went back in the lake, found some crappies but they were on the small side, large mouths were agressive and nice size – also went back in, one good day of walleye fishing otherwise they were tough to come by, also caught some nice perch [they ended up in the frying pan, two northerns. Caught quite a few fish on green/black tube jigs.
    Definitely a fisherman’s lake!
