Took a drive around the lake about 3:30 this afternoon. Looked like it was totally locked up as far as I could tell. Went from lots of water Thursday to some water Friday to locked up today. Saw one person ice fishing. He was out about 100 feet from shore and a little right of the 145th Ave access to Manthey’s Bay.

Lots of people out and about. A few small permanents have been pulled out with atv’s between the Moon Bar rock pile and Battle Point. Today I have found around 6 inches of ice every where I have been where it is snow covered. Found a couple of spots where it was 7 inches where the ice was bare or had very little snow cover. Haven’t been over to Manthey’s Bay since last week so not sure how things are going there.

I found 6 inches everywhere north of battle point. Did not catch one decent fish though, very frustrating day. Like a dead sea out there every where I fished.

Ice is at 9 inches in the Battle Point Schultz’s Bay area today. Probably the same or more up on Manthey’s Bay. Looked like Head of the Lakes Resort had put some of their houses out. Might be a little bit less ice on the south end. More and more of the smaller wheel houses coming out with atv’s pulling them. Three more inches and mine is going out. Oh, and I might add, fishing has been slow for me. Mainly just perch.
