Biggest wild small stream brookie I had ever seen lived in this hole. I caught this one and the bigger female followed him to shore and hung 10 feet off shore and left with him when I released him.

I’ve left my fair share of spinners in that area. Possibly in the same tree you are talking about. It been years since I last trout fished in that area. Now that I’ve moved even more North I’m probably less likely to get back soon. I may have to just take a weekend and spend it back fishing that area. I miss chasing the trout in those southern streams.
