IT’s here and I cannot wait to get out of work and get a couple hours in the woods. My old man was able to knock down a gobbler this morning about an hour after shooting time opened up in WI. Had 3 come in and play the game and did have out a hen decoy. Hoping to follow up this evening. He forgot his phone at home today so no pictures no sure if he will take any home most likely already butchered up. 
Sweet!! Congrats to him. And so it begins. I set up the blind last night at home and will be in it tonight after work also 
Congrats to your dad! I will be scouting and patterning birds the next 2 weeks waiting for my season to open up. Good luck to all that get out.

I could not follow it up with one last night but I was in birds most the evening. Only got about 2.5 hours in after getting done with work last night but I think I had birds in sight or could hear the hens the entire time.
Saw 9 Toms last night about 20 hens in all. They were all split and coming from different directions as the evening went on. On my way out I did leave a little early just if the chance I would have a shot still would be shooting time. Almost all the way out and I have 3 gobblers 30 yards but the house is sitting right behind them through the tree edge. They got lucky to make it to today. Same plan tonight and tomorrow only get a couple hours to hunt till Sauturday but things look good I know where they are going . Might take different ways there but I think the boys are going to play the game pretty good.
Snow was deep but they had no problems walking. Most places over my knees and then on the north facing hills it was even higher.
Have a new turkey hunter with us. Buddies son took a nice gobbler last night 22lbs about 3/4 spurs. He was really pumped and all the plans came together last night.

I saw and heard zero from the blind last night, but it was fun being out in the nice weather. Heading to the farm tonight to hunt the maiden hunt in the redneck 
Things are going to get good. Go get one with the stick and string Sticker.
