Float a sucker on one rod, throw stick baits, plastics, jig and minnow on another.

Those lipless rattle baits in the lower right corner of tackle3 pic can work wonders as well in the depths mentioned.

Rapala Flat Rap. It has a very slow action that can pair well with the cooler water temps. Work it just like you would work a Husky jerk. Or if you don’t want any new tackle rotflol just use the husky jerks.

    31 3/4 inches….really a tank…weighed 12.5 pounds.

thought I had snagged a carp…had to adjust drag three times to get control of it.

Horsed it even a couple times…

Hugged the bottom like a snagged carp.

It finally appeared and I had the net in the water already.

I knocked the jig out of the mouth as I netted it. It was barely hooked in upper snout.

a bagley 1/2 ounce od green jig with gold flecks with a 4 inch Kalin lunker grub in pearl with salt and pepper flakes.

I remember Joe Ballweg telling me when we went sauger hunting a few years back:

“The three inchers will catch more eyes but the really big ones like the 4 inchers.”

    Thanks for advice Joe.
