4 of us fished the Bemidji area on Saturday. We slept in and didn’t get lines in the water until 9am. Launches were nice and quiet at that time of morning…
We found water temps to be ranging from 54-56 degrees, and we caught nearly all of our fish in 8-14′ of water, with one nice keeper coming out of 21′ in a small trough between two bars. Spot-tail shiners on a 1/4oz. jig was best, drifting or moving into the wind going .4 to .7.
We ended up with our 24 keepers and had 2 big fish that posed for pics. Here’s the largest of the trip…
Lots of summer openings yet, so give us a call!
