Anybody heading out in the heat for muskie? Been thinking of waiting till mid next week when it gets a little cooler.

I’m wondering if the water temps will already be too warm in a week. 80 degree water temps and muskie fishing doesn’t mix well. Hopefully a thunderstorm or two shows up.

I’ll probably sit it out, to warm to sit in the boat casting for them. But I did have 2 follow ups on a local lake a few days ago while throwing chatter baits for bass. And I got this guy under a dock.
Pike have been very active, so I assume muskies would be a good target real early am or later in to the dark.

You got that thing under a dock? Slightly odd place to find one of those slime bags, no?

Yeah its not my average under the dock fish. But the eruption of water when my bait hit was awesome

Decent in the metro. Boated a couple in the 30s. Didn’t see anything with size though, but not bad for day 1.
