Headed up Monday the 13th for the week.
Our 24th year of camping and catching.
Anyone else going to be up there?

I’ll be up for the opener weekend. We will do more cabin work than fishing but we’ll get out Saturday morning for sure. Water levels are right where they should be this time of year. I expect the fish to be done spawning and ready to eat.

I’ll be up at the cabin this weekend and do some fishing but for me the serious fishing doesn’t start until the next weekend when the Ontario side opens.

    20 feet during the day

How does the water level compare with other years?

At least 3 feet low compared to normal summer water level. Lower than normal for this time of the year also. A lot of rocks sticking out of the water you don’t usually see. Water was too low for me to launch my boat at Nelson’s on Crane.

Water levels are right in the curve where they should be right now and slowly rising.
Fishing was good for us on opener.
We fished 4-8ft of water all weekend.
