    Let’s start all over! rotflol

Ideas for a date for an open water GTG? I was thinking the weekend after opener, but before Memorial Day, May 19th and 20th. I’d like to keep it at Red Door and Mille Lacs, since it is a good central location, Red Door has been awesome to work with, and with another umm interesting season up there the area could use the support. Nothing is set in stone yet, so feel free to add your .02

    Thanks,
    BigWerm

Is that referencing 2 cents or BAC?

I’m personally worried about all the water boiling off the planet in the days right before the event… tongue

2 cents, judging from the Ice Get Together responses most of you carry a much higher BAC! rotflol

Love the mille lacs idea, but fear about that south wind kicking in and alienating all the dudes who come up with smaller boats.

A resort that has launch service would be a good ol time. Drag the coolers on and sit back. Red Door have one? Didn’t see on website.

Everts resort. Throw back to fishtheriver.com. For you new guys that is ido before it was ido. Fishing, tubing, boats sinking, monsoons. Thoses where some get togethers.

ML is fun open water, but I would be more interested in an Everts trip over ML. Like nhamm said, big water + little boats = not fun.

I’m open to ideas. Everts/P4 would open up pre-opener dates too.

Heck yeah!!!! I’d be all in for reliving one of those GTGs.
Throw in a gentlemen’s honor fishing tourney and an all night poker game and it has makings of a great weekend.

Mike, Lenny and BK— not many of us old timers around from the old ARM events and get togethers. If this works out we should make sure Mr. Holst, Dustin, Gianni, Mr. Koonce, Mr. Man Pretty and the rest of the crew get invites. It would be fun to do some of those then and now pictures. I have one somewhere of my boy shore fishing after fishing about 36 hours straight. I think I have some somewhere of the monsoon and James and Dustin trying to keep the tent up in a rainstorm. Those were some fun times.

I’d be up for one at Everts.

Those ARM events were the catalyst for getting me on P4 in the first place and then the intro’s to Dean and Everts.

    Sounds like a plan.

I remember that monsoon. We strapped the tent to out trucks so it wouldn’t blow away in the wind then proceeded to empty the keg. Gosh, that was a great time.

2 GTGs sounds like a good plan.

Everts would be awesome, but the mighty river does intimidate more than a few people, especially if we see high water again like last year. Would limit it to the mighty and aspiring river rats of MN/WI which might work well since it seems we are dealing with limited cabin space with no camping.

Then great as a fishing community as this is, would be great to go support the shores of Mille lacs with another GTG. Launch idea seems to be a good one. Certainly those with boats can go out as well and check in with the launch fellas.

Depending on dates, I would love to go to the Red Door since I haven’t ever been up there.

Hopefully there will be someone around that can help me fish a lake… for walleyes(?)
