Warning, this video isn’t very exciting. I’ve been testing out the chest mount for my GoPro and the best position/settings, as well as trying to narrate.

As for narrating, I realize I am not a good host. I end up forcing conversation. I think I’ll try doing what I always do when fishing alone, talk to myself. Otherwise I’ll be sticking to music and no talking.

The chest mount sure works well. It beats putting the camera on a hat mount or tripod. I can put it on and forget about it. It’s also nice having quick access to the on and off button and being able to look down to see if it is recording.

The bigger bass should be moving in soon. Some of these ponds are a lot less clear then when when I first moved. Hopefully the new vegetation will clean it up some.

I love spring when the tilapia and sunfish move close to the banks bringing the bass with them. From now until July the fishing is the best.

Nice job! It’s tough to hear yourself on camera for awhile until you get comfortable talking to nobody. I just started actively making videos on a youtube channel and let’s just say there’s nowhere to go but up.

An underrated aspect of the GoPros is the still image capabilities. You can freeze any spot of your video and capture a really nice image.

It’s all about getting better at it and seeing what kind of cool shots I can get. Just have fun with it and capture some cool shots!

You can’t win them all. I have a feeling that one may have reached the threshold I set for posting in the 2018 thread. If you watch the rod tip, you’ll see the thunk of the bass hitting it.

Man you are killing me. I actually shore fished the Miss last week trying to get some smallmouth. Didn’t have any luck but man did it feel good to cast and reel again.

Hopefully I can start posting more “exciting” video soon. I’m posting these just because I am playing around with editing and what not. I might as well post them here.

January-July these ponds by my house are fun. Everything moves into the edges in the shallows as to being scattered, I assume, in the middle of the lake. Every year seems different. It’s been colder than the previous 3 winters this year, so I haven’t seen the sunfish or tilapia moving in yet. Even the new lily pads seem to be taking their time. I am hoping that the cooler weather compresses the breeding season for everything making them more active.

Was hoping the front would be stronger and turn them on, but I only got one before the Superbowl.
