Open water??

Checked with the bait and tackle shop at the lake. My favorite lake has over 20″ of ice and more than a foot of snow. The long range prediction is predicting a cooler than average March. My boat is parked in the yard surrounded by at least 2′ 0f snow, it’s all enough to make one feel a little low. I only ice fish a couple times a year for perch. Ready for some open water Pike and whatever else bites (bass, walleye, tiger musky).

The snow on the ice is gone, the only snow left in the yard is drifts that blew in from the lake. The creek is starting to run, and people are still driving out there. Spring is starting to show up here on mille lacs
