Was wonder if you guys could share more details on your lure selection process while shooting the show. I didn’t see any closeups on the VMC Tingler Spoon, but was curious what size/color worked for you? I know a go-to would be pretty much anything white, but what did you guys start on, and switch out before you settled on the Tingler?

We were using 3/16th oz with a feather treble. Our hot color was emerald shiner, but anything with a silver back are also great colors, Rainbow trout, yellow perch, and shiner have caught fish in the past.

So something like this VMC X-Rap Tail Treble would have done the trick then? [EDIT: I should have just read the Youtube video description – VMC Feather Treble – thanks!]

First off, can I just say, that episode was AWESOME! Made me want to head north immediately and search out lakers. Great show.

But….the question posed in this thread is similar to questions I’ve had (and maybe others have had) after/during watching an IDO episode. Namely, what – exactly – are the lures/equipment/line weight etc. used. I pitched this last year when you guys were asking for ideas on episodes, but I think it would be great if you – with every episode – did a one page/screen summary of that episode. On that episode summary you could list all the technical details so to speak:
Lures/equipment used, line weight, temperatures, depth, tips…whatever. Heck, if it was printable (such as a PDF) I’d sure print off copies for my “files”. Heck, you could even throw in a couple coupons on the PDF from your sponsors to encourage guys to use the summary etc. I dunno. Just seems like it’d be a helpful and relatively easy addition.
