    Sirhan Sirhan gets parole.
    How is that possible?
He was first sentenced to death, now he will walk around a free man. I just don’t get it.

That cannot sit well for Mr. Kennedy’s children.

If approved by the full parole panel and not reversed by the governor.

I had heard his parole hearing was coming up, I hadn’t heard he would be released.

Just think of how the world has changed since he was put away?

Personally if he is going to be released I’d stick him on a plane to the mid east, let him find his way back on his own.

The “full” panel of 2 granted him parole, the Governor can still reverse it.

Assassinating a United States Presidential candidate on live TV and he even has a chance at parole?

I think having him rot away in a prison cell is too lenient.

Sirhan stated he’d like to be deported to Jordan. If they release, I say that he should be accommodated.

Nope. That’s the proposed decision which will now be reviewed within 110 days to either be approved, have a new hearing ordered, or be modified which would probably result in a new hearing also. If it’s still approved after that then the governor can reverse it.

Edit: this says 90 days but regardless there is another step before governor: https://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2021/08/27/sirhan-sirhan-granted-parole/

“The decision does not automatically mean the 77-year-old Sirhan will be released. The decision now enters a 90-day review period, and will then be forwarded to the governor, who could reject or modify it.”

Agreed. Fly him over Jordan and give him the same parachute they gave Bin Laden.

Reef, my point is it shouldn’t have gone this far. Do you think this assassin should have the opportunity to walk free?

Just pointing out that it’s not a done deal. Never said anything about what should or shouldn’t happen.

Good friend of mine lives in the boonies. His closest neighbor walked in the house and murdered his Dad with a shotgun close range. His 25 year parole is up in January. With them using any excuse to not lock up new criminals. Sure most paroles are flying thru.

In Minneapolis we’d probably put him on our city council.

As most of you know I live in MPLS but our politics are ass backwards here.
