Your kid or, in this case the FW having surgery.

Four hours seems like a awful long time but I’ve made her strong over the years.
I’m hoping to get her back cooking by the weekend before I start loosing weight.

Oh no…sorry to hear that. Hope all will be okay with her?

No excuses for you though, I’m sure there’s plenty of Spam you are still capable of frying up.

I get it though, a healthy, happy FW makes for a healthy, happy man.

Tom, give a man a can of cold spam and you’ll feed him for a day, but teach him 100 ways to cook it and you will feed him for his entire life… waytogo

    Thoughts and prayers.

Our youngest has had six surgeries and will need a seventh. It’s rough not being able to help much.

Hope and pray all goes well.

Careful Joe or he’ll actually try cooking. I heard he can turn a kitchen into a ptomaine tabernacle in a heartbeat.

    She’s out and all good.

The four hour surgery turned into all day. Something like 7 or 8 hours.

I got a kick out of the gal that came in to take her dinner order. “What kind of clear fluids would you like?” Hamm’s!! rotflol

I would post a picture but I’m not sure how I’ve managed to live this long.

Glad to hear the good news. As a friend I would caution against pictures unless you enjoy hospital food. wink

Why? Were you going to take a selfie? You’re that bad off?

Wow, probably seemed like an eternity for you because I’m guessing she was all knocked out…hopefully?

Certainly hoping it cured the problem. Prayers are practiced, not sure if you’re Christian or not…but no matter. Prayers have been delivered from those of us that are.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes all!

She’s got the meds down and they had her walking a very short distance with the favorite granddaughter steadying her.

Doc was stunned when he found out we didn’t get any update over a 6 Houg period.

They’ve been great here at St Johns!
With the possible exception of people coming in the room asking if she’s sleeping and waking her up.

Woody is looking foreword to the FW coming home.

Ps Neighbors, sheriff and Woody watching the house while we’re away.

Glad yo hear everything went well! That’s a funny thing about hospitals, they don’t seem to want to let patients sleep! I hope she can go home soon. It’s always better when you’re resting in your own home, especially when you have Woody to to snuggle with. grin

I’m glad everything went good for her. It’s very scary when you can not help or take the place. I’m not a huge internet guy may I ask what fw stands for

Its funny because a lot of patients actually think us night shift nurses don’t want our patients to sleep!! If theres a reason youre in the hospital, theres probably a good reason to wake you up when we do! Sorry, rant done.
(-night shift nurse that gets yelled at for doing my job on a very regular basis)

Glad to hear the surgery went well and hope the recovery continues in the right direction. Wish you both the best.

    Tbro-

Please know my comments are tongue in cheek but when the nurses and aids would ask if the could come in I would say “certainly, she’s been sleeping for all of ten minutes”. Of course that was said with a smile in my voice.

Deb had me sneak to Wendy’s today for a frosty. Home tomorrow??
