    Luckily most that fish locally either don’t know how to fish for panfish or don’t keep them if the catch them (like me).

    Before game wardens visited this and other waters, the bucket brigade kept everything no matter how small and beyond the legal limit. Worse are the orientals that keep and sell to fellow orientals or restaurants. Never see them too much anymore because of the crackdown starting about 6 years ago. Unfortunately NYC reservoirs are less protected and fish quality and numbers have gone down.

    That’s sad to hear about the NY reservoirs hopefully somebody can get something put together to protect what’s left I have seen and heard of some good fishing in those parts!
