I’ve got a four battery MinnKota on board charger on my WX1850 and have a 36V Terrova 101. Does anyone know if the charger can be used with only three batteries? I’m thinking about going to a 24v Terrova that I could also use on my 16ft Express for winter spring fishing. I have a Maxum on it now but miss Terrova features.

Good question, and I honestly don’t know the answer. My guess would be that you could just dead end two of the leads and not have an issue (or pull that fuse), but thats just a guess. I have the same charger, and since it “reads” each battery, I think it would just omit that one. Probably best to call Minnkota though.

Just a thought, I’ve got a 24v Terrova as well. That gets two banks, my starting battery gets one bank, and then I run all my elctronics off of their own battery. I bought the four bank just for this reason. Gives me piece of mind that my starting battery isnt being drawn down by anything else.

Just cap and dead end the leads so they won’t ground out and short out anything. Because they will be hot when plugged in. You don’t want to weld your boat of fry something.
