My model 30 jiffy cuts great, but just as it is about to cut through it grabs really hard, almost tearing you arm off. Hopeing someone can help to stop this ….Thanks!

    10″?
If so this has been pretty common from my experience with the single blade 10″ Jiffy’s. Im not sure if the stealth 3 blade design is any better.
I do not get that issue with my 8″ Lightning model Jiffy from 2000.

I used to run a 10″ chipper blade on the ol Model 30 and have experienced this same exact arm ripping problem. No way around it really unless you stick 2 guys on the auger. I have found that it helps but you still get that grab at the bottom of the hole, just doesn’t rip as bad with the power of two guys on the auger. Wish there was a easy fix as I loved using it when you could finally drive the truck out. Interested to hear if someone has found a solution to this problem.

I do just that. Slightly lift as it’s almost through. Problem solved. Mine just got a carb kit and new plug yesterday. Ready to rip.

Check the mount for the blade. The fleeting on mine got bent last year and acted the same way.

Straightened it out, and welded a new brace in.
