U hit the nail on the head, I can cruise at 45mph. I had the boat on the water and am very happy with the performance. The 90 opti has only 76 hrs on it.
    Thanks for your advise.

I too had just purchased a 1992 Lund tyee2. it came with a Johnson 70hp motor. Doesn’t seem like much power, but, it looks brand new and came with a Honda 8hp trolling motor. used it 4x last year, everything works like new. also came with a Bimini top and all the sides to enclose it during rainy days. A Lowrance fish finder, 4 mounted rod holders. and other extras. All for $4500. My Brother-in-law told me a boat like this goes for 16k in Alaska.(they have a cabin in Anchorage)

I had an 89 Tyee 16 foot with a 100 hp Mercury 2 stroke, ran great and NOT underpowered.
Boat was a rockstar. Tight as a drum after all those years, even on big, choppy lakes. Unless you need to get somewhere at 50 mph this should work fine on a 17′
    IMHO

Just looked at the picture – same as mine but newer.
Really nice set up for you and for the money.
I have a custom made top just folded up sitting in my basement for the last 18 months.
Made for this boat plus covers the motor. Paid $600 new
Make me an offer if you are interested. All the tie downs come with it.

I had an 89 with a 90 and 15 kicker… the day I sold it I regretted it. I still have not owned a boat that gave me as much joy as that old Tyee did.

Solid boats, bought mine in 2018 – was 1 owner too. Looks like the same guy took care of both of these )
