As much as I love spring. I hate the slop. Every jobsite turns in to a disaster. I’m in maple Grove cutting precast columns and left my mucks in my other truck

Nothing like a shi**y day at work right before a fishing trip. Just a few more hours and we’re on our way west. toast

It’s going to be really, really wet for a while. Almost no January/February thawing from the TC area north.

I was up at my hunting farm this week and in the Hinckley area there is a solid 16-18 inches of snow and there has been very little melting so far. It’s going to be sloppy for a long time up there.

We’ll gladly take some of that moisture off your hands if you can get it to western ND. A few more days of 50-60 degree weather and the last of the snow will be gone. Going to be drier than a popcorn fart again soon if something doesn’t come along.

We’re getting light rain in south central WI. Low 50’ dropping to mid 40’s. That will eat the frost out pretty quick.

Until the frost goes, you’ll have mud soup for a while up there

I F’n hated this season, I’d rather have -20 with a good stiff wind.

A friend who has a excavating business got an urgent call from a building contractor , seems they got their CAT stuck on the jobsite. And expected my buddy to drop everything and get there to get them out . He did and charged appropriately LOL

Hated this crap every spring. Moved household furniture most my adult life. We’d try putting plywood down but carrying furniture while walking on plywood over mud was a btch, the plywood acted like a sled on snow. Usually we had guys staged inside the house in clean stocking feet while a couple of us would carry everything to them though the mud doah

Oh I have seen some big pieces of equipment get buried when I was on the road crew. Emergencies cost money

Looks like it might get worse next week. There is a fair amount of rain and rain/snow mix in the forecast on Monday and Tuesday.

Its a mess! It’s also dog shat season. When you get fresh dustings most days during the year it’s impossible to maintain and keep up.

Well when its light at 9:00am, you guys can move around when its colder out and mud will be less of an issue until it gets light outside.

    LOL, had to say it.

    HHAHHA!

Us floor guys are a lil Boujee, y’all have fun in the mud we typically won’t see the build until later in the season.

Every once in awhile we’ll deal with the mud on residential but I’ll cry and they’ll bring in some filler to make us happy.

    Well…this topic jinxed it.

I receive a phone call today that some vanities were 30 minutes away from arriving at our house. I promptly gave them specific directions to back up to the 3rd stall garage and go to the back of the house to find our GC who is working on our porch. I also told them 2 separate times to NOT back up on the downhill side of the driveway towards the walkout where there is no breaker rock. Fast forward 40 minutes and I get a picture message from our GC of a delivery truck probably 18″ deep buried in mud.

I responded and told him to leave the guy buried until I got there this afternoon to deal with it. Our GC is too nice though and dropped everything to pull them out with our lull.
