All three lakes (and also Harriet) are 100% free as of this morning — two nights ago they were still 90% covered, yesterday they really started breaking up, and when I drove the loop a few hours ago there was no ice in sight. Finally.

Nice! Is the Calhoun access going to be open this year?
That is a fine question — last I heard the new Bde Maka Ska pavilion and the boat launch are supposed to be open in time for the summer season but haven’t heard if they will officially hit that timeline.
Sadly the Kenilworth channel between Isles and Cedar is also still closed and as of yesterday it looked like they have quite a bit to finish on the new bridge, and they are building a long, stone retaining wall on the eastern stretch of the channel that only looks to be 75% complete.
