Off Shore Board releases

There seems to be two choices,…OR 18 pinch type release and Sams pin type. Is one better than another? Make a difference if using braid or mono? Thanks

My choice for walleye, trout, salmon is or-18. It will grab all of the lines you mentioned. But still wrap your line in the clip and set the tension to your liking.
