When do you guys think moving around on the pond will be an option again? I Bought 4 dozen sucker minnows and I have a ton of frozen bait left from last year for a late Ice pike trip. Going to keep the suckers alive for a couple weeks. was thinking of going March 23-25 and possibly the 16-18. Just wondering what people’s thoughts are when some of thensnow will melt down, and we can move around again? Haven’t been up there since feb 18. Or should I just plan a LOTW’s run instead?

    Thanks, Drifter….

Next week looks warm and sunny, that will help. Maybe the snow will melt without trashing the ice at the landings. I caught some dandy pike on p4 this week about 50 yards from people ice fishing. That might be a good trip too.

Yep. P4 is open from the dam in red wing to the start of lake Pepin. Pike were insane that weekend. Walleye, not so much.
