If I am understanding this years regulations correctly if you hunt in either a lottery or hunters choice area you can only Tag 1 deer per season regardless of license type. So if you Tag a deer with your Archery license you are done with tagging deer for this season? You can still buy a license for firearm season and party hunt but not tag another deer? same goes for muzzleloader season. So you can hunt all 3 seasons but tag only 1 deer. What do people who don’t party hunt do? Have things got this bad in Minnesota that you can only tag 1 deer. Hard to believe that not that long ago they were complaining we had way to may deer.

What you said is true. You may hunt in intensive or managed zones too… Of which there are not to many this year.

No party hunting bucks in 300 zones fyi

In the 35 years I’ve hunted Zone 1 a one deer harvest per year has actually been the norm. The bonus tags of recent years has been the anomaly. Things are probably just correcting themselves.

That is why I didn’t take a doe on opening weekend of archery. I didn’t want to burn the rest of the season on the first night.

Just so you know, that is pretty typical for the last 25 years. Multi-tags per hunter was a short lived and unique thing.
