In need of 4 new ones for my F150. Sticking with a single set due to room limitations, any recommendations? I do a good bit of pheasant hunting and backroads fishing. My dad has a costco membership, so I might be able to go that route. Thanks in advance!

I was in the same position a few months ago. I had Firestone Destination on my F150 and while they lasted a long time tread wise they were horrible in snow/ice/mud.

After researching, I finally ended up going with General Grabber ATX. Plenty of YouTube clips etc. comparing them to others. To me, they seemed like a decent value, 10-ply, and hopefully last a while and are decent in snow etc. I’ve had them on a few weeks and haven’t obviously tested them in snow yet (unless you count a few inches of slush this week). I have been impressed with how quiet they are overall given how ‘aggressive’ the tread is.

    Good luck on your search.

Oh, and I think General Grabber has a $100 rebate, but ends later this month. I think.

The Goodyears that came on my 2015 f150 have been great in rain and snow, almost 60k on them and will replace with same tires.

I am really happy with my Bridgestone Dueler.

Have a co-worker who has put over 80k on these tires 1x and is 40k into the next pair. They do throw a few rocks, but other than that a good All Terrain that can take a lot of miles.

I probably only have 15k on mine. They passed all testing so far, and the one i had most concern about was my Pdoggin trip with the mud and cactus.
    I bought mine from simpletire.com

Love the Bridgestone Dueler H/Ls Alenza on my Yukon. Enough so that I had my mechanic order a set for me today. $191/ea for 275/55/R20. Not as aggressive tread as the A/Ts, but are a super quiet tire. Have not had any issues making it up my STEEP driveway when icy either.

Thats the tires ive bought the last 4 or 5 times for my trucks. Unfortunately that aint that good of deal. GM dealers have that size on sale right now for $165.62 with a $100 rebate on a set of four.

I’ve been happy with my Michelin Defender LTX’s on the F150. Seem to wear well, good all around traction, and are quiet. Not an A/T tire, but great all around for my use, which is mainly highway with some hunting and ice fishing mixed in.

Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac’s if you can stand some noise as they wear. Best traction tires I have ever owned. or BFG All Terrain KO’s they have a little less traction but are quieter. I have sold tires for twenty years as a service manager. I have not had experience with the Duellers myself but some people are happy with them. Also like Toyo Open Country AT3 they have been good on a couple of friends and family members who did not want as aggressive of a tire. You can PM me if you want anymore help.

I put them on my f-250 about 2000 miles ago. Driving on black top they are fine but on gravel they throw gravel every where!

My last truck I put good year dura tracs on and I loved them. I should of went with them again doah

I’ve had the bfg all terians before also and they wore like crap and ended up getting recalled

I run these in the winter and I run bridgestone dueler alenzas on my summer wheels
But both do really good all around. I have 2 sets of wheels for my truck so I swap back and forth

Take any price to discount tire and they will beat it. and they have always gave me excellent service. I’ve bought probably 10 sets of tires from them and 3 sets of wheels now

My issue with Discount is nobody should really sell tires that can’t even perform an alignment in my opinion, there techs are not qualified to tell you if you have a loose front end part or anything really.

I’m coming up to the 3 year mark on a set of Hankook Dynapro ATM’s. My guess is they are near 40,000 miles on them. I plan to run them this winter and most of next summer and then replace them next fall. Overall I’d say I have been real happy with them. They do a great job of getting me around the lakes in the winter and the ride is fairly good given how aggressive the tread is on them. I had Cooper AT3’s on the truck prior to them – This tire is a far better tire than the Coopers were. If you can justify the $ or can find a good deal on them the Michelin Defender is a GREAT truck tire as well – I just could not justify the cost.

Have Pathfinder AT’s waiting at Discount Tire to be installed tomorrow. They are made from the original Hankook Dynapro AT mold for Discount Tire. Have heard lots of good reviews of them. And they are pretty affordable.

I paid $180 each for E rated tires.

Not trying to be the bearer of bad news, but I had Hankook Dynapro’s previously and really liked them and Discount Tire told me the same thing on the Pathfinder AT’s, which I have about 15k miles on now and they are not nearly as good as the Hankook’s imo. I would not recommend them, or purchase again unless you like spinning your wheels on any sort of precipitation.

Had a set of KO2s on my old truck that needed replacing and went with the Hankook Dynapro everyone raves about. I didn’t see what the hype was all about but have also since sold that truck. I believe that tire has since changed or been discontinued but I would certainly look at the KO2 again when the time comes with my current truck. Always had great traction with them though they did give off a little more road noise due to the more aggressive tread design

We shall see. Can’t be any worse than the factory Goodyears I have on there now. A buddy has the same tires and really likes them. And this weekends weather should be a good test. If they are crap I can always throw them through their front window.

The successor to the Dynapro ATM is the AT2. I put a set on my truck last summer and have been happy with them.

I just got a set of tires for my Ram. Came down to Dynapro AT2 or Goodyear Duratracs since its 20″ and there aren’t all that many options. I went with the Duratracs just because I wanted something a little more aggressive than a standard AT. The downside is fuel economy definitely dipped. Other than that I like them so far. We had some slushy snow the other day and they seem to bite really well. This weekend should be a good test with all the mud.

Lol exact same for me! Loved mg dynapros on my last vehicle and discount tire told me these are a comparable tire. Cost almost half as much. I only have a few thousand miles on my set though. Too bad to hear they don’t hold up well

Personally was not impressed with my duellers on the yukon. Went with duratracs and they absolutely rock for ice and snow. I pull 5X8 work trailer everyday in the city so traction is a must for winter. Only saw about a single mpg lost, when you only get about 15 it wasn’t that noticable.

I am on my second set of BF Goodrich KO2s and have 125,000 miles on my truck. I think I replaced my last set at 65,000 and this set I think i will make it through winter before I need to replace them. Our Ford/Ram dealer has buy 3 get 1 for $1. I price my wife’s jeep tires there and they were cheaper than anyone else. I haven’t priced my truck tires there yet.

Had duellers on last truck, got about 70k out of both sets each I had on it and never felt at a loss for traction(2009 silverado 1500). Had just put it’s third set on at 140k thinking I’d keep the truck another year and then found its replacement about 4 month later. I’ve got to replace the factory crap tires on my current truck this fall it will be either the duellers again or the hancook dynapro’s(2018 silverado 1500). Would not hesitate on the duellers again but fairly significant saving going to the hancooks. Sounds like I should be good either way, pretty much just if I want to save a couple hundred bucks or stick with what I know works.
