Oakdale Fleet Farm new hunting section.

New large walk around rectagle glass display counter holding optics and hand helds and more. Thinking 20’x 16 with an area for sales person inside. Long guns will be hung on the wall behind display cubicle, with an isle for the costomer to walk, in a mannor costomers will be able to personaly take the gun from wall and handle and inspect. Openning things up to make less packed. Archery will be expanded also.
The displays are up but empty and lots of shelving being moved around but in short time I believe its going to be a nicer costomer oriented store for the outdoorsman.

With Sportsman’s Warehouse gone and Gander’s presence vastly reduced, I’m very glad for Fleet Farm. They’ve always had the most reasonable regular prices on ammo as well as one of the best selections.

Glad to hear they are in expansion mode.

Just found this thread, but Rochester’s Fleet Farm has done the same up-grade. Its sure nice.

I was at the Oakdale Fleet last week. Very impressive!! The wife say, how do you not get lost in here now Took me a while to find my way around again and it prolly cost me more money cause I found stuff I didn’t even know I needed…

As this is great to see but I am a bit dissapointed in the lack of focuss on the fishing department.
I talked to the designer and the guy instituting the project with the fire arms and asked them about improving the display of the fishing department like trolling moters and fish finders. His response was a look of dismay and telling me low priority. Sad, as I love FF and grew up with FF but their policy is changing and not for the better for the consumer.
