If he does get out, I predict he will be back in jail within 2 years. That or dead.

July 20, 2017 at 1:58 pm #1705695I don’t know if “care” is the right word, but the starting of a thread and subsequent comments would suggest that it’s a big topic.
July 20, 2017 at 2:08 pm #1705697List of those who care….

July 20, 2017 at 2:37 pm #1705713I’m more of a Strawberry Kiwi king of guy, but occasionally some OJ and Vodka.
Are we Talking about Simpson? Is he getting out? Excuse my ignorance, I don’t watch the news anymore…
July 20, 2017 at 3:47 pm #1705732Anyone watch the documentary OJ: Made in America?
Fantastic documentary that had many of his closest friends that provided commentary. It really filled in the gaps around his whole life and what kind of person he was and is today.
I was 16 when his murder trial verdict was read and remember being very confused about why people were happy he was acquitted and confused why he was acquitted. This show really filled in the gaps.
Like it or not that murder trial was an extremely important piece in American history. In some ways we’re much better off because if it and other ways we’re not.

I think it is illegal to make money in that way off a crime you committed.

Well , for those sick fellers that buy this crap I will have him have it.
Its the reality media culture that’s making megga money right now. It will be the people giving it to him.I see him going to hip hop and dableling into the new version of country music.
July 20, 2017 at 11:00 pm #1705795I think he’ll have his own reality show about coping with society and his agents trying to find him work. They’ll call it, “O.J., freshly squeezed”. If that doesn’t work, I’m sure Wal-Mart will hire him. He can help them “slash” their prices……
July 20, 2017 at 11:23 pm #1705797From what I saw/heard he gets 25k a month for NFL pension. Probably millions from book/movie deal and none of it can be touched by the Browns or Goldmans.

they cant touch his pensions…………… not sure about any other income. i too heard that sounds like he wont be able to actually own a car or house, he will need to rent or lease. if he owns they take it!!!!!!
sinker…..if i read your post correctly? i agree, i hope nobody takes the douche up on some movie or book deal. reality TV
July 21, 2017 at 8:40 am #1705832Finally read an article to get brought up to speed…
From my understanding from before he was sentenced, any income outside of his pension was open for the taking. I’m sure he would rather live his last 10-20 years of his life out of the light, but I could be wrong. There’s really no reason to take any endorsements or money from TV appearances, as it will all get taken anyways…
I remember reading articles about his theft trial after it concluded and the victim, I believe even testified during the trial and said he was “friendly” during the robbery and it was his accomplice that was the “mean” one. Not that it really means anything, but I found that odd that he said something like that on the witness stand.
July 21, 2017 at 8:41 am #1705833I watched a little bit of it yesterday, when the parole board was interviewing him. He kept saying… “I haven’t made any excuses in 9 years…” and then he would proceed to make excuses, blaming others and not himself ??? And they are gonna let him out ? I say he should join the circus, it seems to follow him around anyways…
July 21, 2017 at 8:48 am #1705836Ever notice a lot of criminals sound a lot like a “good” salesman? I am not bashing salesman, I just find it very similar. And I am talking about the stereotypical salesman, I know that they aren’t all like that.
July 21, 2017 at 10:27 am #1705853Really interesting about his current sentence. He got 33 years for armed robbery and kidnapping.
Well the kidnapping charge came when he told the guy he can’t leave during the robbery.
He was sentenced on the date of his murder trial acquittal, 13 years earlier. On top of that he was ordered to pay the goldmans 33 million.
Either a lot of coincidences there or by design. Thoughts?
July 21, 2017 at 1:42 pm #1705898The best thing about his original trial is that it started putting the Kardacians(sp) in the lime light.

Very much agreed! I watched the whole thing and if there is anyone curious about what may have gone awry, if indeed it did with him, WATCH IT!
I cannot fathom the immense amount of pressure he was under from the African American community, as a professional athlete, to be a flag bearer for their causes, but he stood by his guns and distanced himself from that. What it led to is resentment by the African American Community. Whites saw him as OJ, the African Americans saw him as an Uncle Tom.
It is really a compelling documentary.
One of my favorite, eye-opening quotes from the series was when he was sitting in a Joe Namath’s restaurant in NY with some friends (football players, not sure) and a white woman said “look at OJ sitting with all those n-words”. he wasn’t seen as anything other than OJ. He was that transcending. Its before my time, but I found this whole documentary just fascinating.July 21, 2017 at 2:24 pm #1705907The best thing about his original trial is that it started putting the Kardacians(sp) in the lime light.
Oh you mean like this…
