I primarily like to target Smallmouth, walleye would be second. I would be going in mid July. Any input on either area would be great.
    Thanks

Lots of fish to be caught in Sioux Narrows. I haven’t been to NW Angle, I’m sure they’re both equivalent.

Surprised no one has answered this. Are you tied to these two spots?

I don’t know about smallies in Sioux Narrows but I know there are toads on LOTW.

July probably wouldn’t be when I would target them because I’m not a huge fan of fishing deeper for them. I like the fall when they move up shallower.

Sioux Narrows is deep and clear trout water, very different than The NW Angle. For east side smallies and walleye I’d look at Nestor Falls or Morson before Sioux Narrows

We head up to Morson and Launch from there to a private Island a couple times a year. My son who is 9 Likes to cast shallow for them with a jig and a leech or a crank bait and has non stop action. He loves the fight his biggest last year was 19.5. I’d recommend this area and some good walleye and Musky fishing.

Will second Morson area for smallies, eyes and bonus big pike and muskie! I went out of New Moon Lodge (also out on an island roughly 15 minutes from Morson), but anyone with a good GPS/Lakemaster/Sonar would find fish.

Going out of Morson is awesome. Been. Doing it for almost 20 years now which is hard to believe! Past couple few years have been making two trips a year with my dad which is awesome.

Can’t say for certain as I haven’t been to other part. But I’ve heard the start clarity changes as you move north and east. Also depth changes too, which is why Lakers come into play. LOTW is an amazing place.
