    From the Code of Federal Regulations

    CFR Title 33 section 165.825
    (4) Prairie Island Nuclear Generating
    Facility Security Zone, Welch, Minnesota—
    all waters of the Upper Mississippi
    River, extending 300 feet from
    the shoreline of the right descending
    bank beginning from mile marker 798.0
    and ending at 798.3.

    This is on the lower portion of Pool 3 on the Upper Mississippi River.

    Now that would be cool!

    After using the Navionics web app that allows measurement to be taken, the restricted zone is MUCH smaller than I thought in the past.

    I’m not even sure why the angler was harassed in the first place since he wasn’t even close to the area described in the laws.

    It would have been nice to know about the Navionics app back then.
