Pretty much sounds like the same way I carry mine as BC, connected to stand. It is nice having descent backpack straps, more comfortable when walking. I did pick up the XOP gamma ts, it’s a pack that attaches to your stand with but also has the waist belt. Which is nice as with any packing it’s nice having the weight around your waist. Only used it once so far but I liked it. With a lite setup, can’t tell is t really on your back. Wish the waist pads were a bit bigger but they do have a pocket on each side. Since it stays connected to your stand, I could possibly see the straps dangling beneath the stand as an issue, something deer could pick up.

I currently run a lone wolf with the identical lone wolf back pack waist belt and have killed alot of deer out of it with them dangling. But if it was a real issue you could tie them up with the gear ties. For me though it’s never seemed like a issue to where I have to tie them up. I’m usually in a pretty concealed spot i think and not just the wide open.

Good to hear. I was looking at the lone wolf ones but they were out of stock at the time. They look real nice!

Summit for my son and I. 100 bucks for harness and linesman belt. It’s pretty comfortable and quiet.

Well I know lone wolf pretty much rebranded to novix due to legal battles Andrea lost. So now novix is basically a renamed lone wolf. Check out novix back pack straps.
I haven’t yet but I will for this stand.

This is the novix straps. I’ll probably order these. Unless I find some with the waist belt. Maybe the xops

Mines just a tethrd phantom saddle. Has linesman loops built in. Have a separate linesman rope from the actual tether.

Doesn’t XOP have some ties to the original Lone Wolf too?

The original owner of lone wolf sold and then started xop.
Xop is fully China made and lone wolf is 100 percent American. Now novix is also all made in the US.

Jared continued on with what is now lone wolf custom gear. Andrea sold to novix but kept the rights to the lw name or some ugly legal crap.

So LWCG and Novix are the two halves of the original Lone Wolf?
And XOP is the China variant of original Lone Wolf?

It’s a confusing legal battle that’s hard to follow. But yes.
Started as a great plan, was moved to China which pissed people off. So then sold to novix, then Lone wolf custom gear reopened under that name back in America.

As BC said there is a lot of drama with LWCG, XOP and Novix.

Andrae D’Acquisto started LW and owns LWCG. His son Cody D’Acquisto works for XOP as a consultant and is part owner of LWCG.

The reason these stands all look familiar is the patent has expired.

If I remember right there was drama between Lone Wolf and Beast Gear as well. Dan Infult has made comments about it anyway in the past.

Dan infult has the nicest stand on the market for portable stands. I bought one last year after I did his meet and greet woods class. But I soon after had buyers remorse. It comes in at 6.5 pounds which is 3 pounds lighter then the helo but it’s over double the price. I recently sold that stand and was able to buy the helo, x2 sticks and a dozen victory rip tko arrows. Plus a burger and a red bull lol. The beast stand was awesome but I wasn’t happy with what I paid after I bought it.
But lone wolf and Dan were in a battle. It all comes done to the expiring patent

Lots of drama, lol. They all make nice stuff.
that XOP gamma pack is on sale for $49 right now. The novixs straps are only $20 though and look decent.

I agree, they all make nice (good) stuff. This is great for us consumers. We have options to choose from.

The xop tree stand pack or what ever it’s called is also on sale at 36 bucks i believe. Scheels has it for that price.

The summit back pack straps look nice and are cheap enough. I might try these for the helo

Another stand company you guys can check out if you want is Elevate.
Jared Mills and Bill Winke are using their stands and sticks.

I’m not sure why i haven’t known about these guys. There small platform comes in at 6.5lbs. And just over half the cost of the beast stand. They look very nice.
I haven’t seen these at the deer expos, maybe I’ll have to add one to my arsenal next season.

As for back pack straps, I pulled the trigger on the summit ones I posted above. I will report back after I get them.

Here’s the helo fitted with the x2 sticks attached by xop j hooks along with the summit universal back pack straps which are actually quite comfortable and I’m glad i went this route. Not nearly has droopy as my lone wolf back pack straps.
” good tip to use the lower strap and loop under the seat and back to the attachment loop to make the seat a shelf for your back pack. I then wrap the 2nd strap around the hole works to secure the back pack.
It all fits inside my shoulders so I’m not carrying a wide load. It’s 20.2 lbs with my back pack that has my rattlers, rope, water, knife, head lamp, usually gloves , and maybe a random snack which i typically forget.
Carries very nicely and I recommend a set like this if your looking to get in the portable game.

I have 2 lone wolf sets like this as well but they don’t carry as nice as this one. I might try getting 2 more summit packs.

I do highly suggest to look at the j hooks and make your own at the hardwear store for probably under 5 bucks with better materials. I wish the hook was longer so I’ll probably be doing just that for the lone wolf sets. Great concept, but to tight of tolerance, they only allow my sticks how I have pictured and I’d prefer them in tighter to each other.
Only thing I’m waiting on is stealth tape to tape up the sticks and stand.
