I got the 3x elite dialed in and works pretty decent during the day . Shortly after sunset though the screen starts showing a lot of purple and red blobs .. The longer I’m out there the more they come out til it fills the whole screen.. Why is this happening ? Sorry if this is a dumb question..

Are you making any screen adjustments as it gets darker?

Dimming or changing to the night mode?

    Zoo plankton.

Not that uncommon to have the screen clutter as the lake clutters with miniture critters.
Wind shifting will also push all the algae across the lake too.

But, i’m betting on little lake critters like planton and maybe bug hatches.

You see this more often when your ice fishing, but i think it is just more easily noticed because we are sitting in one spot.
