Northfield Area

Guys I’m going to be in Northfield the end of February for a wedding and plan on making it a little longer stay to be able to fish. Any suggestions on lakes in that area ? I see the Mississippi isn’t to far but not familiar with the backwaters up that way. Appreciate any feedback Glenn

Circle Lake, south and west of Northfield is a decent panfish lake. Not very far from town and easy to find using an on-line road map. Lake maps are available on line at http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/lakefind/index.html

Lot of good panfish lakes to west of you, Circle, Shields, Mazaska. Just make sure u know where unsafe areas are
