North or South from Wild River State Park for fishing

Going up to Wild River State Park soon and was wondering about the fishing and water level. The park is north of Taylor Falls and just under Nevers Dam. With the water level, would it be better to go north or south with the boat from the park. Also, I am wondering where some better fishing is from the park. I would like to get into smallmouth bass, but any species is fine. Thanks for any tips or advice.

Unless you have a jet boat I would say head south. Maybe a flat bottom and small motor you might be able to work north.
