Anybody got intel on the conditions if they’re open? I’m assuming so but,

Champlin? 81st? Camden? Boom is typically frozen but maybe the harbors open this year?

I checked out 694 last week and they had the road blocked off but the ramp was good. I would guess it is good to go by now.

The one in bp off 85th might be good to go. I thought about going to check in the next few days.

What are you targeting? The season is closed up there for game fish.

I was down int he park directly across from the 85th ramp just yesterday. Still quite a bit of ice on that side of the river. Did not look specifically at the ramp though. If I get down there soon I’ll let you know.

694 ramp looks good, but unsure if they’ve opened the road yet.

That ice always seems to hold on at the access in bp.

    R&R.

Might throw out a worm for some suckers. Maybe. Doing absolutely nothing while drifting down seems darned good right now.

I’ll be finding one ramp somewhere around here. Will report back

Main channel was 36-38degrees. The Rum was spitting out 29-31 and attempted to venture up into but coming down was to many ice chunks/bergs. River was empty for any ice debris, and very very little left on shorelines.

Sucker run looks to be at least a couple weeks away, my daughter is chomping at the bit to get out.

I forgot to post this the other day, but the 694 ramp is good to go. The road is open and there are cars in the parking lot for the past few days.

I went and checked out the ramp in BP and was able to get the boat in. If you are not familiar with that stretch I would wait tell the water comes up to take a prop boat out. Checked a few spots that the suckers normally stack up in before they spawn with nothing showing up yet. Temp was 38.

Yup, I spun a prop hub on the gravel bar just upstream from that ramp a few years back. Pretty treacherous stretch of river amongst the islands.

Don’t forget the downstream bar too. But you take a couple shallow areas and put a nice deep section between them and some nice fish come out of there during certain times of the year.

Unfortanitely I always got to get someone to pull my boat when launching there, my PT just can’t get in deep enough otherwise bawling

Down stream bar? I think we found that tonight. They have a nice dock out there for costumers. I had no idea there was a bar on that stretch so we stopped for a soda and left. toast
