Wondering if anyone can help me out and provide some first-hand knowledge on Norfin outerwear. I’m considering getting my dad either the Discovery Heat bibs or the Extreme 4 suit. He used to be that guy that ice fished outside all day without gloves and seemingly never got cold. Now that he’s in his 70’s it’s a different story. Anyone out there have any Norfin gear? Also curious on sizing with it being a European company.

I got the discovery heat float bibs. Haven’t used them on the ice yet but seem pretty nice and very warm. They have a lot more insulation and thicker than my striker predator bibs so I’ll pick and choose when I wear them probably. Maybe they compare more to the hardwater or climate bibs as far a thickness? They don’t have a full length leg zipper up to the hip, but I can look past that. The heat is powered off your typical portable usb battery pack for recharging phones and other stuff on the go. They have a sizing chart on their website, but I got a medium bib, and also wear a medium predator bib. I will note they are more fitted then my predators(slightly baggy in the legs), part of this may be because of the extra insulation.

Being a European company making clothes to wear ice fishing over there in the harsh conditions and that the USA ice fishing team has been wearing Norfin gear for quite awhile I feel pretty confident it will hold up.

My buddy runs the Norfin gear. He really likes it. He’s hookedupwi on instagram and youtube. Feel free to message him about it.

    Thanks for the replies, fellas.

Ben – would you say the Discovery bibs are pretty bulky? My dad is short (5’6″) and doesn’t like wearing stuff that’s overly bulky with his short legs. I was hoping that seeing they’re heated they maybe wouldn’t be as bulky. Is the inseam adjustable? I have the Predator suit and like how it’s not overly thick and cumbersome. Previously had the Hardwater suit but sold that and have been much more satisfied with the Predator suit as far as fit/feel/mobility goes.
