I’m not a fan of noodling but a guy has to give this fella credit for going under this root wad for any reason…I think?

Notice the spawning marks on the flat?
It’s the same in my book as putting a stringer in a 13 pound MN walleye while she’s protecting her young/spawning.

    So sporting…

That is pretty crazy though. Just think if a belt loop on his Levis got snagged.

The only thing I found impressive is how in world did he get his shades to stay on the entire time? I go into the water with a pair of sunglasses they suddenly disappear….forever

Anyone crazy enough to dive into a root wad submerged in murky water hoping to hand grab an 80 lb catfish is the kind of guy that staples the arms of their sunglasses to their head to make sure they don’t come off when submerged. Or maybe he uses pop rivets. Either way… doah

Now what happens if that catfish latches onto his arm and he can’t pull the fish out out? I’d hate to drown that way.

If you cant pull him up and he wont let go you just reach over with the other hand and rip out a whisker or two!! hah

my grandfather used to do this years ago,he had several scars on his hands from being bitten by muskrats, beavers and turtles.

I guess it wouldnt be much different than the scars I carry from having my hands being chomped on by gears, chains and the occasional fan blade, but at least I didnt have to worry about drowning.
