The Favorite Daughter talked me into getting a tube to pull behind the Solera.
All I remember about tubes were the days after when muscles I didn’t know I had hurt so bad I wanted morphine.
Tubes have come a long way since those days!
Couple weeks ago we pulled the FGD, FD and Ear Ring Boy around for an afternoon and I had just as much fun as they did! Bouncing around off of wave and some slow speed sling-shots. With the seats in the tube they could have road around all day…just have to hang on!
Today we took out Charlie, Eric and Alley Anderson’s FD (name change in 7 days when Big E takes the plunge), Katie and Michelle of the Trumar household. Ms Trumar was spotter. (I tried hard to get her in the tube!)
We started out slow today and move up to the recommended limits of the tube.
I think the girls had a pretty darn good time even with the last turn of the day wipeout.
One thing I’ve found is that Mothers will always be Mothers. Deb and Mary all had the same reactions as spotters. Deb said “OH NO!”… But Deb, the trolling motor isn’t even at half speed yet! At the end of the day both mothers were shot from the stress.
Unless the weather starts warming up, I’m thinking the tubing is done for this year.
Guess it’s time to get serious about fishing!
