At 1PM Sunday, yesterday, the no wake was finally lifted from Lake Zumbro. Right now the monitor site shows the lake level right at the cut off level. I read 1.05″ of rain here at home but I think a lot more rain fell west and north of Rochester which means its probably going to get the lake level excited again. I wonder if it going to kick the no wake back in place? That lake needs to come down more so this dredging stuff can get going at normal levels.
The bass are reported to be playing nicely for those targeting shorelines. I’m sure those drifting open water are gathering some crappies, possibly some nice sunfish. The high water will slow people down but I think the fish adapt to it. The water is clearing up nicely again too I am told. Good things come with time, but man its taken a long time to get this lake down this summer.
