Hello, I recently bought a 2003 Skeeter TZX 190. One thing that was wrong with it was the trolling motor. For some reason, it gets no power. Anytime I click the button on the foot pedal, nothing is happening. It is a 80 lb thrust Fortrex. I charged both batteries to 100% and checked all the power buttons on the both sides of the foot pedal etc. It’s simply just getting no power. It does have two of those circuit breakers on the batteries and I tried clicking the reset button on both and still not working. Anyone have any ideas?

Start at the batteries, use a multi meter to check for voltage as you go. Sooner or later you will find the problem.

You need a meter or even a test light so you can see where you have power and where you don’t.

X 3….. the list is very long of what may be the culprit…. a multi meter will save you tons of time…. Is the breaker tripped at the battery and or bad ?

Check this!!! I basically took everything apart on my trolling motor many years ago and it turned out to be a small tripped breaker button under the positive battery connector….

Theres two of them on both positives on the batteries. Both of the buttons are out meaning i can push them in

We bought a multimeter and tested the voltage on the breakers and batteries and all were around 12 so i take it they are good
