Needing some help on issue with no power to console. All lights and switches work. Everything is hooked up to battery right. Ignition, trim, gages not working. 30 amp breaker seems to be working. When tripped nothing has power. When reset, all works but no power to ignition and so on. Even trim switch on motor is out. Any clues????
    Appreciate any support

Has it worked at all this season? If not did you pull your battery out for the winter and forget to hookup one of the motor leads?

Was working fine last weekend. Pulled battery that was dead. When new one was all hooked uplease, the problem started. Every cable is hooked up to battery. Only have 2 mains and 4 accessories. One main goes thru 30 amp main breaker. The other main goes to directly to console. All small breakers are good. ???

Check the fuse one the motor. I just experienced this. 50a fuse on a yamaha 150. I bet that’s it! Its the big one with a clear window. My motor had an extra in the fuse cover. Two phillips screws hold it in.

Mine didnt look bad, I tested them with a dmm and found one to be bad..

This happened when replacinf batteries, and the ignition switch was on… little bugger was $38

When hooking up a new battery I accidentally bumped the wires and they hit the terminal and sparked. After that, the trim and gauges would not work. After a little investigating I found it was one of the three fuses on the front topside of the motor. I don’t remember exactly which one it was but after replacing that fuse everything went back to normal. Not sure if the newer 225 SHO’s are the same but I attached a picture below showing where this fuse was on my 4-Stroke 50HP Yamaha. Good luck!
