No, no it’s not price gouging.

Most diesel is not blended anymore. Most diesel uses a chemical additive to stop jelling. In severe cold climates (Canada, Alaska, very north US States) additive and #1 is used to stop jelling.

What? I would have farmers and truckers screaming at me if I didnt have straight #1 fuel and at least a 50/50 mix in our tanks at the COOP. This is in central MN and NE SD. Maybe its different down there. Unless things have changed in the last 5 years since I have done this

Told my wife about this thread and she pointed out just this morning on Good Morning America, a story: “gas prices continue to drop”. I didn’t even stop to listen…the media is insufferable

The average RETAIL price of unleaded gas, in the US as a whole is $3.13. That represents a YTD low.

There are so many fingers in the pie of any commodity price that it is impossible to isolate the source of price movements either up or down. A grain trader I know likens it to a haystack size pile of pick-up sticks. You move one and all your know is that the others will move too. Predictions of when, how much, or which direction are largely speculation.

In the words of Billy Ray… “I ain’t gonna have no money to buy my son the GI Joe with the Kung Foo grip” unless the price of oil goes up. santa
