Well I was getting some of my ice fishing stuff out the other day and when I went to let some line off of the reel, it wouldn’t budge. I took the spool off and noticed the bearings rusted completely out. Anybody else have this problem? Am I supposed to do something special for in line reels during the off season so this doesn’t happen?

I’ve seen several posts with people saying that their in-line reels came with no oil on the bearings. Maybe that plus the reel and/or case getting wet before it was put away?
Looks like I’d better go oil my CGI reels. Thanks for the heads up.
