How does the Nitro ZV18 handle and ride in big water. It looks so bullish in the front hull like a hard pounding wave smasher…not a cutter. I have been looking hard for a Skeeter WX1910. Drove 5 hours to purchase one only to find the hull bottom in need of extensive repair. Had to return home empty. Seems very hard to find a 1910 in the $50k range. Several for sale but in the nearly new category and just out of my budget. I come across a Nitro in what appears excellent complete condition. I sort of feel like I’d be settling because I’m so keen on the Skeeter. Wondering what owners can say about this boat and its capabilities. I’m limited in garage space…also not sure I want to go much bigger in HP and fuel consumption on a bigger boat…Looking for the best compromise. currently have an alumacraft trophy 175 and wanting something more safe and comfortable and capable in the big water lakes like erie and michigan. I can go with my boat and keep a close eye on the weather but getting older and want to upgrade

If “settling” worked when you got married get the Nitro.

While I haven’t ridden in a Nitro ZV18, the many Nitro’s I have ridden in have always left me with this exact certainty when I step out, never own a Nitro…imo

Yes, I’m biased, but keep looking for a Skeeter, they should start popping up as sellers get them out of storage and cleaned up for putting on the market……
