Once in a while a new product comes out on the market that’s worth talking about.
Although the “light in the hat” is not new, the Night Prowler hat adds a twist to the concept.
Most lighted hats have the LED’s in the rim of the bill and and on off switch. The Night Prowler goes one step further by adding a down shining LED on the bottom of the bill. This allows for a light right where it’s needed for tying hooks or what have you.
There’s a light switch position for the down facing light, one for the lights in the edge of the bill and one more position for both lights on that I find useful when walking from the boat to get the truck. The light in the bill is perfect for the net guy (that’s me) to see and guide the net around the boat side trophy.
I’ve been running this hat since September and haven’t notice the LED’s going dim yet.
When they do, the batteries are replaceable.
Not only is this a hot seller for the catfish folks but hunters and those walleye guys fishing the night bite will find this light weight hat a perfect for keeping your hands free.
