Felt good to get back out on the water this past weekend!!! Work has been crazy busy the past few weeks, and I haven’t had much time to fish.

We decided to get after some trout on the Roaring Fork River and had a blast! Ghost brown got some good attention, and got a few fish in the net. Mostly fishing up the side current and got one in a nice little pool beside a run. Cool, sunny morning with no wind at all. I had to put in some work to get into one of the fish; crossing a fast current on the river. I go over some tips that has treated me well in these occasions in the video. Rainbow Trout is what we landed, haven’t had a day where it’s just rainbows in a while.

Pictures below of the action, and also a video link if you’re interested🎣🎣🎣 Hoping to get back into the high elevation lakes this weekend!!

Lots of good streams in western WI that I’ve been exploring the past couple years. Haven’t quite dove into the fly fishing game but man is it peaceful and its tough to find a harder fighting freshwater fish.
